I can't log in to the website. I click on the sign in button and nothing happens. What do I do?

If you are trying to log in to our site and you are having trouble with the sign in button, there are a few things you can do to troubleshoot the issue.

The way the sign in function is meant to work, you should be able to click on the sign in button in the top right corner of our home page and a pop-up window will appear, allowing you to provide your username and password.

The sign in button:

After you click on the button, you should see the following pop-up:

If you do not see a pop-up button when you click on the sign in button, that usually means that your browser is not compatible with our website. Either the browser is not able to show the pop-up window, or you have an ad blocker on your browser that is preventing the pop-up from appearing. Much like an ad blocker prevents unwanted ads from appearing while you browse the internet, the same blocker prevents our sign in pop-up from appearing.

We strongly recommend trying multiple browsers to see if you can trigger the sign in pop-up. If you typically use Chrome, we recommend trying Firefox or Safari.

If trying multiple browsers does not work, we encourage you to add our website's URL to the approved list of sites for any ad blockers you have installed on your browser(s).

If you have tried multiple browsers and tried turning off ad blockers, or adding our website to the approved list of sites for your ad blocker program, and you are still unable to access the sign in pop-up, please reach out to us at smr-help@mit.edu, or call us directly at 617-253-7170.
